O-Bon at Dai Bosatsu Zendo

Join us for this beautiful and moving ceremony in which we honor our ancestors, family members and other loved ones who have passed away, as well as the hungry ghosts within and outside us.

Led by Shinge Roshi and Chigan Roshi, we will hold the traditional chanting service that includes calling the names of the deceased, followed by a teisho from Shinge Roshi. We will then bring our lanterns to the banks of Beecher Lake and float them across the dark waters. A bonfire and refreshments will follow.
