The Zen Center, along with CNY RISE Center, Unity of Syracuse and the Academy Green Neighborhood Association, will be uniting in the valley for a picnic on Sunday, August 19 from noon to 4 p.m. on the front lawn of the CNY RISE Center, 275 W. Seneca Turnpike, Syracuse, NY 13207, directly across the street from the Zen Center. Join us to celebrate the diversity of the neighborhood!
Procession of Neighbors - All Faiths Hand in Hand in Support of Refugees
People of all faith communities are invited to join a prayerful procession in solidarity with refugees on Sunday, May 6th, 2018. Along the route, the procession will pause at several faith centers in a gesture of welcome and acceptance. The procession begins at 3:00 pm in front of the Destiny Christian Church (514 Turtle St). The procession will walk through the Northside with brief stops at several faith locations and conclude at Masid Bilal Mosque (466 N. Salina St) at about 4:30 pm. Read more »
This year, we have agreed to work with a second farm CSA that offers organic foods not offered by Early Morning Farms. A description and letter can be found here. As noted, they offer options like eggs, bread, fruit, dairy, pickles, herbs, and other products. The deliveries will be made on the same day, around the same time, as Early Morning Farms deliveries. Please note that even though Good Life Farm sells meat, no meat can be delivered to the Zen Center of Syracuse pickup site. Read more »
