Nikyu Robert Strickland is a long-time Zen practitioner and psychotherapist. He has been authorized as a Dharma Teacher by Shinge Sherry Chayat Roshi, Abbot of both the Zen Center of Syracuse and Dai Bosatsu Zendo.
