Welcome Peace Walkers for a Nuclear-Free Future

2015 marks 70 years since the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. We must never let such disasters happen again!

The Peace Walkers are walking across the U.S. to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty Review Conference at the United Nations in New York City. They are visiting many Native communities which are affected by contamination from nuclear activity.

The Peace Walkers from Japan will report on the ongoing Fukushima nuclear power plant disaster, and why there can be no “peaceful use of nuclear technology.”

Please join us on Thursday evening for two half-hour periods of meditation at 6pm, followed by tea and discussion at 7:15pm. If you are new to meditation, please plan to arrive by 5:30pm. Please RSVP: www.peacecouncil.net/peacewalk or (315) 472-5478.
