Please join us for a memorial service and Gathering in honor of Huston Smith, who passed away December 30 at the age of 97. His book, The Religions of Man, later revised and retitled The World’s Religions, “is the most important book in comparative religious studies ever,” as Professor Stephen Prothero of Boston University put it. A 49-day Memorial Service will take place Sunday, Feb. 19, at 11 a.m. at the Zen Center, followed by a 12:30 luncheon and colloquium in the Hall of Languages at Syracuse Univesity.
